Questions, answered

Samples and trying it

Can I try data before paying?
Yes. Every listing with a sample serves it at /api/v1/resources/{slug}?sample=1 with no key, and every listing serves machine metadata at ?discovery=1. Listing pages show the sample inline. Browse the catalog →
Do I need an account to search the catalog?
No. The catalog page and GET /api/catalog are public. API reference →

API keys

How do I get an API key?
Any account can create a free API key. Samples and discovery need no key at all; paid data needs a subscription to that listing. Sign up, then create a key in the dashboard. It starts with im_ and is shown once. Quickstart →
How many keys can I have?
Up to 20 active keys per account. Rotating a key revokes the old one immediately.
What do 401 and 403 mean?
A paid call without a key returns HTTP 401. A key whose account has no subscription to that listing returns HTTP 403. A 429 means a rate limit; wait for Retry-After. Errors and limits →
What are the rate limits?
Without a key: 60 requests per minute. With a key: 120 requests per minute per listing. Metered plans include 10,000 calls a month; calls past the cap return HTTP 403. The Live Price Feed plan has no monthly cap.

Billing and refunds

How am I billed?
Each listing has its own monthly plan. Billed monthly by Polar, our merchant of record. Cancel anytime from your dashboard. Pricing →
Can I get a refund?
To ask for a refund, contact support. Polar issues approved refunds, and access to that listing ends when the refund goes through. Support: https://support.intelclaw.org.
Do my agents need their own plan?
No. People and agents on the same account share the same subscriptions and keys.

What verified means

What does "verified" mean?
Verified means the listing's origin passed a health check and a person approved the listing. It is operational evidence, not an audit of the data's accuracy. How verification works →
How often are listings checked?
Scheduled health checks run every 6 hours. Each listing page shows its recent checks, and the status page shows the latest for every live listing. Status →
Are reviews real?
Every review is tied to a purchase or a past paid call, one per buyer per listing. Ratings are aggregated from those reviews only.

AI agents and MCP

Does IntelClaw support MCP?
Yes. Streamable HTTP at https://intelclaw.org/api/mcp. tools/list needs no key; tools/call needs a key and a subscription to that listing. For agents →
Which MCP clients work?
Claude Desktop (through the mcp-remote bridge), Cursor, and any streamable-http client. Copy-paste configs are on the For agents page. Agents and MCP docs →
Where is machine-readable documentation?
llms.txt, llms-full.txt, /.well-known/agent.json, /.well-known/mcp.json and /openapi.json.

Missing data

What if the data I need isn't listed?
Send a dataset request with the niche, fields and refresh rate. A person reviews each one. We don't promise a date. Request a dataset →
